Bright Lights vs Beauty – Best Places to Visit in Star Wars

From Neoclassical European style architecture to entire infrastructures built on clouds, cities in the Star Wars universe are filled with cleverly created landscapes and visually stunning buildings, all brimming with tales from the past and present alike. And as time goes on, these mini-worlds just get more and more exciting. Yet, even from the very beginning, the details in each city scene are so refined, that every single character, be it in the background or main cast, easily has a story to tell.

However, two places in the Star Wars universe stand out: Canto Bight and Theed. One for its bright lights and one for its beauty. One thing is for sure, they are both certainly places that we all want to visit.

Bright lights – Canto Bight

Making itself known in 2017’s The Last Jedi, Canto Bight is a city a little different from other well-known Star Wars municipalities. The reason for this? It is a whole place based around a casino. Director Ryan Johnson has even said himself that it’s the Monte Carlo of the Star Wars universe and that his aim with Canto Bight was to make it something a little different than what we are used to. And what a success he achieved with this by creating that real ‘bright lights’ environment.

As soon as we enter the casino, we instantly feel the electric atmosphere that radiates from the high-class customers, the quick-talking card dealers, and the music playing as we travel through the clubhouse. This is all before we see Finn’s face appear, filled with glee at the potential night that lies ahead of him. Watching the crew in Canto Bight makes us want to jump right into the screen and be a part of this enthralling place. And while we can’t spend our time finding the perfect game to play in the Star Wars clubhouse, we can use things like Bonusfinder to search through online casino games on offer, find bonuses, and play games at home. So, although we may be gambling from our phones, it’s almost like we really are in the very cool city of Canto Bight wandering around and finding the best things to enjoy.

Beauty – Theed

A city created for The Phantom Menace, Theed is easily one of the most beautiful looking places in the galaxy. Located on the planet Naboo, it’s almost as if the metropolises of ancient Rome have been taken forward a few thousand years to create a visually stunning architect’s paradise. As well as being filled with greenery and nature.

The city becomes the center of attention when The Battle of Naboo, otherwise understandingly known as Assault on Theed, takes place after Queen Padmé Amidala devises a plan to finally end the invasion of Naboo. Sadly, although we may not be able to visit the beautiful green planet of Naboo, we can visit the next best place, and that is where it is filmed. As TripAdvisor tells us, Plaza De Espana in Seville is one of the filming locations for Naboo. With its breathtaking architecture and ancient-style columns, it’s easy to see why this place was chosen as the location of Naboo. Making it a place we can both easily visit, and imagine we are strolling around with the Queen of the planet herself.

Choosing between the two cities as the best one is too much of a hard choice. Canto Bight is exciting and suave. While Theed is filled with history and beauty. Luckily, we don’t have to choose, and we can enjoy them both through the brilliance of the films.
