The the “Christmas in the Stars.” collaboration continues! I’m so glad to be working with so many good friends from around the Star Wars fan-site community. Over the next few days there will be a short, daily guest blog post about a favorite Star Wars memory from a friend of us here at the Star Wars Report. We continue with “A Holiday Marathon,” a story from Tricia Barr of FANgirl Blog!
Enjoy!

A Holiday Marathon
A few years ago I had some friends over to share Christmas dinner. We don’t make present-giving a big deal in our house so the day had felt more like Thanksgiving – getting a turkey read and baking pies. While I had been cooking, though, I noticed Spike was running a Star Wars marathon so I turned it on. (Naturally!) Later as guests started arriving, they all gravitated toward the television. Typically my appetizers are the center of attention. I never had a chance to turn the marathon off because everyone was watching the movies, commenting about the story and enjoying it.
One friend had never even seen the movies before. She turned to me at one point and said, “I see why you like Star Wars so much.”
It turned out to be one of the nicest memories I have of the holidays.
