Well, as reported earlier Detours has been put on hold, and if you go to the official Star Wars site or YouTube page, any Detours content is nowhere to be found.
When I reported this I was surprised to see the haters come out of the woodwork, Detours was the talk of CVI this past summer and I was among many fans that were disappointed to see it go. However there is evidently a contingent of fans that were “Happy” about this news.
“Rejoice for that abomination Detours will never see the light of day!”
Some fear that this show would have diluted the SW universe. I beg to differ.
We live in a world with this:
And for goodness’ sake this:
Star Wars has been just fine with this, so I think the Star Wars Universe could have survived Detours. Besides, It’s Seth Green.
Seth Green. Nuff said.
I don’t think Detours dilutes the franchise at all, if it survived the holiday special, Star Wars can survive Detours. We shouldn’t be so precious about things.
And pro-tip; never rejoice when a project is going away, someone worked hard on it, and even if you don’t like it, someone else may have.
Being happy that Detours is going away is just as bad as rejoicing that Imperial Commando ended prematurely.
