The official announcement says:
Lucasfilm has decided to postpone this fall’s scheduled release of Star Wars Episodes II and III in 3D. Given the recent development that we are moving forward with a new Star Wars trilogy, we will now focus 100 percent of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII in order to ensure the best possible experience for our fans. We will post further information about our 3D release plans at a later date.
Hmm, by “focus 100% of our efforts on Star Wars: Episode VII” I wonder if LFL means that the 3D releases won’t come out any time soon, or are just delayed somewhat. Secondarily, I find it interesting that they refer to the new movie as “Star Wars: Episode VII” and wonder if that gives us any clue as to what the final title of Episode 7 will be. I imagine that the traditional “Star Wars: Episode VII – A New Hope Has Risen for Star Wars Fans” title arrangement will be used, the formula of “Star Wars” followed by a colon, followed by a roman numeral, followed by a dash and then the actual movie title. What do you think?
